Yes I awoke, gave thanks
and started on my way
But today things were different
Yes, it was a lovely sunny day
and all appeared ok
However today things were different
I found myself thinking and
even aloud did I say
Something is missing
Today things were different
that thing that we were
taught early on
Almost at the time when first born
today things were different
To share, how could it be so simple?
Share – my life – fears –
goals – secrets – heart –
mind – body and soul
today things were different
Where did these ideas materialize?
Of course I realize that this
basic of all human needs is
easily apprehended
But am I that one with the
strength, capacity and patience
to sit still and just wait
without an enormous price to pay
